How to wire LED motorcycle turn signals?
I just bought a new set of signal lights and they are LED's. They have three wires Red, Black, and Black w/ white stripe. I had one working earlier and I switched one of them back to the incandescent and now none of the LED's will work. Can anyone tell me which wire is hot, neutral, etc? Do I need the third wire for the LED's?
You may need to get a digital flasher because the leds do not draw enough amps to heat up the thermal flasher to make it function. You should be able to pick up a digital flasher at any auto parts store for under twenty dollars. If you can not find one in stores they deffinatley have them on ebay. Red should always be hot, the black is probably negative, and the black with white the ground, but I can not be sure with out knowing what what type of blinkers you have. The incandescent may be drawing too many amps and causing the LED's not to work. Try putting the other LED back on and see if it works.
