How is this motorcycle street legal?

It has no side mirrors. But it dose have all the lights(high beam, low beam, and the signals). Is that bad?

Look at the previous page it does have mirrors.
Nobody knows what you want from the bike, except possibly you, it is hard to give advice without knowing what you need. Both of those bikes will give you the option to ride off-road (they are both based on more focused off-road machines) as well as reasonable on road. Don't get hung up on resale value, you will never get what you think it is worth, but provided it is kept in reasonable condition you will get the local going rate. If you really want to protect your investment buy a used one with a warranty from a dealer, that way you will not take the first massive depreciation hit that comes with all new bikes.
