Shifter Shift Lever

I changinging the engine in a Kia Rio 02, but the lever does not move the park installthetcbolts

I'll change the engine in a Kia Rio 02; to the other 1.5, but when I went to move the lever to the PARK position, I could not do it. I even had the rear engine and joystick is not yet move.Any ideas on what can be wrong or what I'm doing wrong?
