would 100dB be loud enough to drive away a car theft??
im trying to build a litte car alarm project and i found a kit that says it out puts 100db. if im not mistaken, the highest a human can withstand is 50db but i could be wrong.
would i need two(two kits out puting 100db ea.) if 100db isnt enough??
100db is pretty unpleasant. Its certainly enough to cause hearing damage after only a few seconds of exposure. However 100db inside the car is probably not that loud outside so it may not attract that much attention. I imagine it will still be effective though, the thief will most likely move on to easier pickings.
